葉子葉脈的設計縱然樣式各異，但是必然有其意義所在。分支葉脈必須以最有效率的方式生長擴張至整片葉子，讓養分能最快速地傳送至主葉脈、水分能快速地流向整片葉子的每個葉肉細胞。
無花果葉
Jancsó 從無花果葉得到靈感，發想出一套程式設計概念。他讓街道遵循著無花果葉葉脈的模式建造，而葉脈之間則是建物區。此種方式期望能夠讓城市中的每棟房子更快速地、有效率地被觸及到。
"A fig leafs nutrient supply is very similar to a urban structure, fits more or less the fuctional requirments, and looks great." says Jancsó.
